The Godburger

This is a master burger restaurant, the chef assembled the burgers as if they were precision items from Seiko watch factory. There is a very nice selection of beers from the local region (recommended) and imports. Great atmosphere, with coolest music feeding in from the surrounds, warm and cosy seating and friendly staff. Such a treat to eat food this good.Recommended

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS burgers as well as fries, YUMMI! They’re cooked by the owner himself right in front of you. The waitress was super kind and friendly. We chatted with other guests, too... kind of a homely atmosphere really :)

I had the fried egg avocado burger and it was good. The fried egg wasn't runny - which was the way I liked it - and went really well with the avocados. The vegetables were also incredibly fresh. Great burger overall. The burgers are made to order so waiting time can be a little long. We got there before 6pm so managed to get a seat straight away but for those who missed the first seating, they had to wait a minimum of 40 minutes.

Juicy delicious burgers, pieced together like a work of art. They also have some tasty local craft beers. Definitely a great place to have a burger (staff spoke very good English and are very friendly too!)

My partner and I both really enjoyed our burgers here. I had the vegetable burger with egg and mushrooms, and it was incredible. Sometimes being a vegetarian in Japan can be difficult, so it is great to see more more places catering for dietary requirements. We were a little hesitant going here at first due to the negative reviews regarding being turned away and the attitude of staff. Please keep in mind when coming here that the venue is very small and it is very popular with the locals, so be prepared to wait or have to split up your group if visiting with lots of people. Definitely worth checking out though if you are in the area! Also, be aware that they often take "last orders" approximately 30 minutes before their advertised trading hours so try to come early if possible.

Everything was amazing! The interior is in high level design. Very comfortable and clean. We had high expectations based on reviews and the reality is even better! The burger was super delicious and also potatoes. You can choose from special drinks from different places in the world! ( I tried Jamaica Beer for the first time in my life!) The waitress was very kind and professional! If you are in Kanazawa or near definitely come here!

One of the best burgers I've ever had, not in Japan but throughout all my traveling. Please visit! The atmosphere was nice and it's not mass production of food the chef really takes his time to make and give you a proper burger. The way it should be

Wow! What a burger. I have a high bar for burgers, but this was a stand out. Every topping was sliced with great precision - it's obvious the chef has a keen eye for detail. Would recommend 100%, worth the $$$.

Amazing burgers!! Indeed, what a fantastic meal we had. I ordered an avocado-fried egg burger, my husband a BBQ. Both hamburgers were delicious!Juicy, perfectly cooked, and slightly crunchy buns. What more can you ask for? Service was spot on: fast and friendly. Please ignore any otherwise comment. AND they speak impeccably English. Really a fab night!

Loved the vibe and music. But the burgers are the star. You may have to wait a little but it is well worth it. Service is top notch and food was stellar.

I tried the vegetarian burger, it's good. My friend tried the Mexican burger... The flavor is good but maybe not really mexican flavor but good taste!! The bread is baked by the owner which is amazing and delicious.and I love the potato fries.Although service is the best they always take care of their costumers. And English is not a problem. And try the Kanazawa beer! Maybe you should check their IG to be sure they open the day you want to go, because sometimes they closed because lack of personal.

Very good meat and bread ! Try to be there before 18:00, because they don't have many seats and if you're late, you'll have to wait more than 40 minutes for a place where. Enjoy!

Perfect. I don't want this restaurant to be famous. Nicely baked bread is the world best. The most delicious burger in my life. ( I ate bbq avocado burger ) GODburger makes totally sense. Loveeeee.

I'm going to start by saying I've eaten a lot of burgers ;)I ordered the Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger and added a fried egg. Always add an egg, you don't know what you're missing.The wait time for your burger is normal for one created by hand. My burger was perfect in almost every way.The bun was soft and lightly toasted on the grill. The avocado was ample and perfectly ripe. Not to hard and not to soft.The two thick cut pieces of bacon were soft with a slight chew that melted in your mouth. Followed by the perfect amount of cheese.The burger itself was handmade, perfectly cooked and juicy. Complemented by lightly fried onions, red juicy tomatoe and crisp green lettuce.You can't ask for anything more from a burger. It was a divine food experience.

ACCURATE. It is as good as what others have raved about, even though majority of the posts are non locals. Let me summarize for you if you are too lazy to scroll down. Charcoal grilled patty, soft toasted bun, and crispy potato wedges. What's not to like? Everything is prepared with careful attention which probably explains the slightly long waiting time. Now go ahead and enjoy your burger.Can I also say to find this cheeky burger place in Kanazawa of all places is a pleasant little surprise?

I wasn’t too interested in eating burgers on my first trip to Japan, but after reading some reviews about Godburger having the best burgers in the world, as an American I had to stop in and put it to the test! We sat at the counter and it was the perfect place to watch the perfect burger being beautifully crafted in front of us. I have never seen such art go into creating a burger. Everything is cooked over a small charcoal grill. The buns were hand cut. I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a local beer and it was all amazing.

This place was such a pleasant surprise just around the corner from our hotel. I've had burgers all-over the world and i would say it's one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had and it's here in Kanazawa Japan! Fantastic staff that spoke some English too.

With a name like Godburger, expectations were high - but they delivered! This was quite possibly the best burger of my life. They found us a cosy corner on a rainy for a perfect meal. And they chased after us when we left a phone on the seat - thank you!

I had the Avocado Fried Egg burger and it was delicious. It had a great balance of fresh flavours from each ingredient without one overpowering the other. Would like to visit this place again when next in Kanazawa.

Ladies and Gents disregard the 1 star by the jack @Alexandre t, this isn’t Europe nor European culture. Simple its Japanese, respect the owners decision. Besides that foolishness the food was delicious and beer selection is great, awesome music, great vibes, chef and the crew are phenomenal. found this place by surprise. Cool exterior with a classic twist. Burger is on the pricey side but totally worth the money. We went there after our dinner and still find this burger amazing. Will definitely go back to Kanazawa for this !
